We came to Cabo. Our son is getting married on 4/4.  My son & I had our Father & son fishing trip.  We’re new at this but heard that Cabo has some of the best fishing in the word.  We’re super excited!

The fishing trip started nicely. They even put us in an upgraded boat. Here are the highlights that brought us to this necessary REVIEW.

Main problem:
Captain Martina literally called me a “LIAR” in front of son (our first conversation on the boat). Pretty clear, from a guy whom claimed to speak little English.

Prob 2:  Didn’t speak good English or pretended not too. This made it such an odd experience.  Very uncomfortable as we left each conversation more confused.
We knew at this and had tons of unanswered questions.

Prob 3:  We paid $20 for live bait (little bill fish) and never used it.  Not good enough English to explain why, but he bagged it and took it with him, no joke. So Weird.

This was the most unusual fish trip based on the fact, that I didn’t touch a fish pole once.

I called Natalia, the boat owner. She fell for many of his lies. Yes, told her a completely different story.

So, apparently, it’s ok to INSULT your undeserving (I was never rude) hard-working clients. She offered no remedy & No Apology. 

I honestly don’t mind that we didn’t catch fish.  I enjoyed the scenery before the public insult. It was primarily the Insult that caused this review.

Just wanted to warn others.

We have fished all over and this was by far one of our best trips yet. The captain and deck hand were very attentive and put us on the exact fish we were after. My wife caught her first striped marlin on her birthday and this was what I wanted most. Thank you and see you soon.

Got to say communication could have been better leading up to the trip. I did like getting picked up at our place but thought the extra 30$ was steep. Luis was good and spoke some English which was nice. Would of have 5 stars to Luis but right out of the marina tangled up lines pretty bad where bothe lines had to get cut and re tied. (Not a big deal, I know it happens) but as soon as we had all the lines in the water we hooked up to a dorado then only 20 min after that caught another one. (Possibly could of caught more if lines didn’t get tangled?) Luis did all he could the rest of the time out. He constantly changed lures and depths. It didn’t seem that a lot of other boats were doing any good either. We spent the last hour drifting live bait without any luck. Then went in. Overall experience was fun! Caught a couple fish, the boat was nicer than a any panga that I’ve been on, and got to see my cousin reel in his first dorado.

We stayed close to shore when fishing because of the high winds and seas.  We wanted to try for Marlin but would have had to go 20 to 30 miles off shore to get to blue water according to the captain. We caught Bonita and lots of skip jacks. Frank (Pancho) and Captain Mike were great in spite of the circumstances. The only negative part of the trip involved Natalia.  We stayed near dock A for easy access. We met Natalia there and paid for the trip and were transported to another dock area. After the fishing trip, we were returned to the outlying dock. When we asked if we were going back to dock A, the attendant called Natalia and she told him “no.” Boo on Natalia.
