My 10 year old and I really really enjoyed the trip - really knowledgeable and informative about the area (ocean and land) and exciting fishing - we learnt a lot about ocean fishing. And had lots of fun! Even a delicious recipe to bake our fish afterwards. Thanks Shawy! We will be back!

Recommend the trip for families, the skipper was excellent with the kids. The weather conditions weren’t great for fishing, the captain was very knowledgeable and spent time choosing various baits and fishing spots to ensure everyone caught multiple fish varieties. I will go again next time in the area.

We had bad weather but Captain Shawry was able to change locations and provide an amazing experience. He is knowledgeable and personable and his boat was great. Caught a bunch of different species. Amazing time and can’t say enough positive things about Hook Up Charters.

We had lots of fun catching a range of fish on the estuary. Shawry was very friendly and helpful. He made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. We all really enjoyed the trip. We’ll definitely book again when we’re in Port Douglas next time.
