We highly recommend this charter. Captain Shawry was excellent. He helped our very novice family to catch a huge number of fish. We caught enough to have a very filling fish dinner that evening and my 9 year old son even reeled in a shark, which I’m sure he will never forget. We were in Port Douglas for a family function, managed to sneak away for a boys outing and very glad we booked with Hook Up Fishing Charters. Not an experienced group but the captain was very helpful, great boat and knowledge. Even with our lack of experience, all had an awesome day and we managed to go home with a beautiful feed (including a few coral trout). Thanks and will definitely reach out again next time we’re up here!

Captain Shaw was awesome. Extremely knowledgeable on the area as well as the fish. Never skimped on the bait and was quick to make sure your line was loaded up and you were fishing. Friendly and patient with me as a newby and could easily switch on a dime to my partners more experienced level. Caught some delicious fish that we took with us for dinner.
