The trip started off extremely fun.  I’ve been deep sea fishing in the late 90’s and that will be hard to top. My oldest has been deep sea fishing and loves to bass fish at the house, he said this trip seemed slow on catching fish. My youngest son has never been fishing in the gulf and he loved every bit of the trip. Lastly a friend of my child came with us and this was his first time on a boat to go fishing, and he off course loved the beginning but lost interest when the biting stopped. We fished near an oil rig in the Gulf, and after about 30 minutes the fish stopped biting. We moved around the oil rig to different areas with no luck.

Overall, the trip was fun as it was for all the boys. For our future trips we will stick with Red Eye boats. The best thing to do is call Red Eye Fishing direct, or send a message to a Captain to avoid the extra charge from Fishing Booker and to get a cheaper rate.

Capt John and Capt Jerry put us on the fish!  Caught some real slabs.  John and Jerry were great with the kids and everyone was really pumped up by the non-stop fishing action and big fish we brought in.

Captain John promised and followed through. He said today was a day to catch fish and we did just that. Had to try a second spot, but I think that’s where he planned on going all along. Once there, the bait couldn’t make it to the bottom without a tug. Red snapper, Bluefish, Mackerel, and an accidental shark! My son in law and I had a great time on Lil Red.

Cade and Little Red took me and my sons on a late afternoon 4hr trip. We caught our limits on Red Snapper and caught a few Spanish Mackerel as well. We 100% recommend these guys to anyone headed down to the gulf. Cade taught us sea-fishing techniques without making us feel like we didn’t know how to fish. Thanks!!!
