The water is warming up and turning the bite on for some pelagics. We caught a few kings lately and have heard some other boats also catching some. The bite for white snappers, mingo, and trigger continue to be good and getting better. Have also heard of few cobia being seen.

Wow, what a nice day. The boat caught hundreds of great tasty fish today. The seas were nice and sunshine was welcomed after some days of rain. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

I have been coming to Destin for over 35 Years and never miss a chance to go deep sea fishing when its red Snapper season however on this particular trip I was highly disappointed with this trip. First of all the Captain of the boat Vera Marie seemed to lack the experience it takes to handle large watercraft, used up most of our fishing time trying to manuver the boat around potential fishing spots, constantly unable to keep the boat in one place which only gave us enough time to drop the line... We hate that you had a bad experience. The day that you went was a bad drift day (current against wind). Does not happen often, but does happen. Captain Steve has been with us a long time and has a very high customer rating. Most days are great with lots of fish but sometimes you have a not so good day. We care deeply about everyone of our customers and invest highly in reefs, tackle, etc. to give our customers every opportunity.

Pelican canceled the fishing trip on the Vera Marie 2 days before our reservation because of a “blown engine” on the boat. If that was the case we should have been offered the same trip for the SAME price on a different boat. But what they did was offer us a trip on another boat for twice the price. I will never recommend Pelican

I am sorry that the engine burn up. It cost me 40k. I assure you that I did not blow the engine to keep you from going fishing. We had two options to offer you. You could get a full refund or there was another boat going out that was at a higher price. As far as know, there is not another boat in the harbor that offers a trip as cheap as ours. If you come next year, remind me of this event and I will let you go half price for your inconvenience.
