We had a great fishing trip on the ocean. The captain and first mate were quick to help, assist, and provide clear instructions.  They always aimed to ensure we were baited, knew when a fish was biting, helped guide us when bringing it in, and knew exactly where to find the spots.  They helped provide an excellent experience for a morning fishing trip out in the ocean.

I walked up to Capt Andy n interdused myself and said “I don’t care what we catch long as we catch something”! He asked if we kept what we were gonna catch and I said “yes sir” and he put us on fish from then on! First Mate Ashley was hopping and did everything with a smile! I would highly recommend them, I know we want them next year when we go back!!!

Weather didn’t cooperate for us. Crazy wind for several days before and the day of our trip. Cpt Andrew called us to let us know that fishing wouldn’t be good because the water was so stirred up and rough. He wanted to reschedule but we couldn’t as we were heading home the next day.  He said it wasn’t unsafe to go but fishing would be bad.  We decided to go anyway. A day on the water with no fish is still better than a day with no plans on land. Capt Chris met us and again warned of the fishing and offered to take us on inner coastal waterways for a couple of hours and said we could come in after a couple of hrs to save money if we wanted. He gave us that choice at 2 hrs and we still chose to stay out. In the end we only caught one small bass but we saw dolphins bald eagles turtles a bunch of other birds and some wild horses. We had a great time and Capt Chris was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He and my husband traded Army/Marine stories.
Overall the fishing wasn’t good but that was not their fault and they were more than fair and honest about our chances of catching anything. We would definitely recommend Fish Tales to anyone and will use them again when in the area!!

This was the perfect trip for 3 young boys. It was split up perfectly. We started with fishing got into some croaker and sea trout. While we were fishing the captin was very patient with the kids asking a million questions and trying g to touch everything. We saw dolphins, stung rays, a shark, and turtles while fishing. After that we traveled to check the crab pots. Ours wernt full we caught a few small crabs and some females. But he told the kids and showed them the difference between male and females and the eggs. After that it was off to the claming grounds (be ready to get dirty and change) it was awesome to walk through the mud and feel around for clams (we found a ton). They also found minnows, crabs, hermit crabs, and whatever else which was really cool. Only thing that would have maybe made the trip better was if the mate showed up for the trip. Our captain had to work double time with all of us. He did an excellent job and don’t think not having the first mate hurt the trip by any means but might have helped the captin and make it go a little smoother.

We had an awesome day Shark fishing with Captain Chris . This is our 4th year fishing and have never been disappointed. This trip we caught 6 and I give all the credit to Captain Chris.
