We had a wonderful and memorable day with Captain TJ and his helper Sal. It was my grandsons first fishing trip, first fish and first boat ride at age 4. Just having a 4yr old on a boat is a handful but they we’re awesome at letting him reel in and teaching him about a boat and fishing. We caught barracuda, sand bass and calico bass. First off, Captain TJ put us on a bunch of fish! We were catching fish the entire time! For a father and son outing on Father’s Day, this was epic! We also had a wonderful time chatting with Captain TJ Ingrid and Sal. They always made sure that the lines had bait.  Did I mention that we got to see a whale as well as a pod of dolphins? Yeah, that happened as well.  Best Father’s Day Ever! We will definitely do this again the next time we are in Los Angeles!

Words can’t begin to describe how incredible of a time we had with Capt TJ He put us on fish all day - not one place did we go where we weren’t catching fish, We caught whitefish, rockfish, red snapper, many of them.. and a few more that I don’t remember the names of. We were looking for a fun fishing day out for two moms and our boys.  We didn’t have a lot of fishing experience at all, so were looking for a charter that would have all the gear (and the patience) to teach the newbies.  We were very happy to find Captain TJ and his boat, the Kamryn Dawson.  He and his crew member Sal were great instructors.  They showed us how to bait the hooks, cast the fishing lines, and recognize when we got a bite.  And Captain TJ knew exactly where to go to find... Our group of five, all coworkers, LOVED our trip with Captain TJ and Sal. Captain TJ told us ahead of time what was offered and what was not so we were prepared. Captain TJ took us to some great spots and we each caught a variety of fish. Sal was attentive and helpful, keeping the fish coming in and the bait going out, as well as preparing the fish for us when we were done. We cannot wait to book with Captain TJ again!
