Captain TJ and James were amazing and made this a very personal and friendly trip. Fishing was great, we all caught plenty of fish and saw wonderful creatures from dolphins, to a close up pass of sea lions resting and sea gulls following the boat.  Truly an experience my family will remember forever.

Great experience. Captain TJ and Sal were very helpful and professional. We all caught several fish and Sal was able to fillet them for us on the boat. The kids had a blast. Highly recommended. We will definitely be going back.
Captain TJ was very accommodating with the time that we started the trip and even stayed out longer to help the kids catch some more fish. The boat was very well-maintained and mechanically sound. I felt very comfortable on the boat. They had snacks and drinks for everyone. They even allowed us to bring our puppy on board for the trip.
Overall it was a wonderful trip and a great way to end the summer vacation.

We booked the Offshore Weekend Trip with Captain Tj.
Captain took us out to Catalina Island where we caught some Calico Bass, Barracuda and we were also hunting YellowTail. He has an array of different equipment used for fishing, spinning/ conventional gear. His Deck Hand Sal is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. If you’re unsure of anything don’t hesitate to ask the Captain or Sal for help with the gear provided. If you also have your own equipment you can take that on board too. The boat kept us comfortable and we were able to get to Catalina Island and around quickly. Felt like the other boats were following us. Captain has a Bluetooth speaker for you to use for music and snacks, water/ soda was provided. Important that you bring your own lunch! If you and you’re group want to target a specific species of fish Captain Tj will try his absolute best to get you what you want, contact him directly and he’ll tailor your trip perfectly.

Trip was fantastic and my group couldn’t of had a better time.

My husband and brother-in-law had the best time celebrating Father’s Day - and so did we! This was our first time out on a private charter like this and it was something we definitely want to do again! Captain TJ is such a great guy and super accommodating and knew just where to take us. I don’t think my words can express just how great Sal is and how much we all enjoyed his company as well and all of his help. He was nonstop helping us from the moment we got there in the morning until the time we arrived back at the dock after fishing. And I mean nonstop! He was so patient and kind and helpful. Oh, and we caught I believe 30+ fish total!  Lincod, Calico Bass and a ton of Sculpin! Had fish tacos for dinner tonight and they were delicious!  Thanks again Captain TJ and Sal - you are both gems!!!

Hello, fellow fishermen and relaxation seekers! We just completed a great trip today with Captain TJ on the Kamryn Dawson Charters. I have to say we had an awesome day! It was very relaxing with no stress and Captain TJ and First Mate Sal were chilled and helpful. It was totally no stress and time flew. We had a great time and we caught a total of 22 fish to the boat. We had as many near misses. In fact I had a fish on my first cast. The boat is very ample, big enough and clean. It was a great trip and we’re going back as soon as we can.
