OK, this review is quite a piece of work.  No one has ever left is a review quite like yours.  So I will take each of your complaints one by one.
1.  It is required by every fishing vessel that transports persons for a fishing charter to have a valid fishing license in their possession before they are even allowed to set 1 foot on the deck.  Every boat in this marina has a crewman standing on the dock.  They require you to show them your license before you are allowed to board.  If you do not have one, you are turned away.  No exceptions are made.  This is to protect you from potential legal action and fines.  This also protects the boat and crew from fines that will be enforced if there is an inter action with Fish and Game. 
As the Captain, it is my responsibility to protect the boat and crew from entitled passengers that are too cheap to spend 20 dollars for a day license.  My license and my livelyhood are more important than any one passengers’ feelings.
2. As for the gear you were using.  Every reel was new this season, Penn spinning reels.  We give them to the passengers who are not capable of using a conventional reel.  We don’t like spending our day untangeling fouled reels.  The reason you seemed to get stuck was because you were not capable enough to hold the reel in a normal position while winding the line back in.  You kept rocking the reel from side to side.  This causes the rod to flop around, making it seem as if it was catching.  Your father had no trouble at all with any of the rods that he used.  He was catching fish all day.  And for the weight that was used, you showed your lack of knowledge about ocean fishing.  There are currents every day in the ocean.  The only way to keep your line where you want it is to use weight to hold it on the bottom.  I’m sorry the 10 Oz weights were too heavy.  The fly line had one 1/4 Oz weight. 
3. As for the trolling equipment.  There is over $10,000 worth of trolling gear on board.  Rods, reels, and all the rigging.  Everything for fishing Blue fin,  Yellow fin, Marlin.  We even have 2000 pound setups just for fishing sharks such as Makos.  You chose the cheapest island trip offered and then wanted to fish trophy fish.  I gave you the trip you chose.
4.  All of the items that you thought were my personal items, as you say, were all of the food snack items that the guests have access to.  The chips,  pastries, soda, waters, buns for the burgers, and brats that were in the fridge and freezer.  Everything that you saw was for the guests who requested it. 
There was no 4th person aboard, as you stated.  There were 3 crew aboard.  Myself the Captain.  Bohdi was the deck crewman.  My wife,  the other owner, and the chef were aboard the boat.  Had you requested a meal package that is offered,  you would have had a full breakfast plate and a full lunch plate had you requested.

I hope your next charter is more accommodating and only makes you use a 1 Oz weight to fish with so you don’t get over exerted.
