- I got started with land-based shark fishing after seeing some incredible catches shared by enthusiasts online. The idea of catching such a powerful predator from the shore intrigued me, so I invested in the right gear and started going on trips with more experienced friends who could show me the ropes. My best-ever catch was a 13 foot hammerhead shark I landed on a beach. It was an intense battle, and I had to use all my strength to bring it in. Releasing it back into the ocean was a rewarding moment, knowing I had successfully caught and safely released such an impressive creature.
