Windy and cold day for us. Fred advised we delay our start time to wait for it to warm up and tides to come up. He was able to put us on the fish and we had a successful and fun day.

Found Capt. Gowdy from an In-Fisherman recommendation.  My son and I were delighted to find he had availability.  We didn’t know there were Peacock Bass in Naples (FL), but he put us on fish right away and caught quite a few using several techniques.  Definitely a five star day for us.  Thanks

Had a great experience with Captain Fred Gowdy!  Despite having some frustrating bad weather, Fred was able to put us on multiple species of fish!  Very knowledgeable with 20 years in Southern Florida waters.  We were also able to change our plans for the second day due to bad weather, and go for peacock bass, which was a wish-list fish for my son an I.  We did awesome!  We’re already talking about coming back and going out with Fred again.

From the moment Fred picked my wife and I up, to when he dropped us off, was an awesome trip. He was very knowledgeable and helpful the whole time. I ask Fred to cater to my wife and put her on the fish more than me and he did more than that. He was so helpful and patient with her, he definitely put her on the fish! I took my daughter’s boyfriend, who was fairly inexperienced on a spontaneous trip hoping to catch several different types of fish and Fred was great with him.  We stayed on fish and moved whenever things went cold.
