Captain Cody wasn’t able to guide but his dad, Captain Mike stepped in. Captain Mike is such a wonderful person! He is super knowledgeable of the lake. The bite was slow in the morning but then again it was a very cold February morning. We were able to land two stripers. The bite got cold. We broke the boat record catching 104 fish on a six hour charter with just my girlfriend and I. It was her first time fishing and she caught the largest fish (10.5 lb carp). Steckel fishing was the best experience I have ever had in 43 years of fishing! Captain Cody was an excellent guide. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the lake, he also worked hard to ensure we caught fish. The scenery on Lake Mead is beautiful and was worth the trip alone. Brand new boat and good gear enhanced our experience. I recommend Steckel Fishing to anyone looking to fish on Lake Mead.
