The winds were 15-20 miles per hour and water was choppy, but Jason handle it all perfectly and we still caught 6 salmon total with 3 of them weighing over 15lbs. That made my hubby happy. In the end he cleaned the fish and bagged them up for us. We got a nice cooler full and look forward to eating them back in Tennessee. Thanks Jason and Ray Ray (as you called him) for everything.

Great morning on the water with Captain Jay.  Left the dock at 5:15 AM, had four kings in the boat in the first hour.  Was very exciting!  If we could have reeled in all the bites we had, we would have limited out in the first hour.  After the first four and a bit of a lull, Captain Jay gave us the choice of going out to deeper water or staying close where we already caught fish.  We decided to stay close and pulled in two more. Captain Jay was very attentive,  always asking us how we were doing.  He was in constant contact with other boats asking what lures were working for them.
He kept changing lures to see what the fish may like.  My wife and I had a great time, this trip made a life time of great memories.

It was raining before we left the dock, but Capt. Jay is hard core when it comes to catching fish!  Even though I lost a big one @ the back of the boat, the weather was so miserable, he offered to come in & gave us option to come back another day!  I’m pretty sure not many charters would do that after taking us out there for 3 hours! So we’re gonna give it another try next week!
I’m so impressed with Capt. Jay & his fishing techniques—(which he does all the work for 2 ppl-captain & 1st mate). He’s always trying different things & talking to other captains & fishermen in area.  I’ll be back w/update next week & pictures to boast with!

The boat was listed as having toilet facilities. The captain met us in the parking lot and told us to use the facilities there, as there were none on the boat, except to “flop it out over the side of the boat and pee into Lake Michigan.” As our party was co-ed, this was not an option. This made for a miserable 5 hours, refraining from drinking so as to avoid having to do so.
