4 hour trip started with a medium speed troll, landed a bonita but nothing else big enough grabbed the lures. We switched gears to bottom fishing and snagged a keeper trigger, then decided to try to grab a shark for our groomsmen. It took less than 3 minutes and we had an estimated 250lb Sandbar shark bow’d up on the line.

Great day, great group! Not much bit on the speed troll, but the vermilion snappers and triggers were hot, along with some of the biggest hardtails I’ve ever seen. Final count (just for keepers) was 46 Mingo Snappers (Vermillion), 5 Triggerfish, and 2 Hardtails.

This was a very very fun group and we all had an absolute blast. Thank y’all for your business, thank y’all for being awesome and so much fun, and we cant wait to do it again next year!! Had a great trip on 5/31 with a boatload of recent graduates (congratulations by the way)! We all had a great time fishing, crew and customers alike on our 5 hour AM trip. A great mess of fish was caught and kept, and another one sent back home. Regardless of the catch-and-releases, everyone had fun and there's one heck of a fish fry in the near future! Great weather, a great group of guys, and a great bite made for a phenomenal 8 hour trip. TeamTradeWinds didn’t come to fish… we came to CATCH! Bite was steady all day, even with the dolphin-devils following us around, our 7 guys landed 80 keepers!! We lost- at minumum- another 30 fish to the malice-mammals, but all in all, it was a great haul. Final numbers in the box were: -54 Mingo Snappers (Medium to large grade) -20 White Snappers (Stud-sized Whities) -5 Triggerfish (Banjo sized) -1 Amberine (18”) Fish we sent back home: -10 Red Snappers (Out of Season) -12 Triggerfish (Under size) -7 Mingo Snappers (Under Size) -2 Goggle Eyed Snappers (Not good eating) -At least 30 unknowns lost to the flipper-fiends. Holy Moly. Amazing group of guys for an amazing fishing trip. Started off with a huge banjo of a Triggerfish, a Lane Snapper, and Amberine, and several niiiice bull Mingo Snapper. As we made our way through the day we had some great luck by bringing in a stud Gag Grouper. (Even greater luck was on his side though, because was out of season so we sent him back home). Over the next several hours, our guys brought in another absoute mess of Mingo and White Snapper. All-in-all, we brought home 103 keepers. (Unpictured are several great Red Snappers that had to go home, too). But wait...theres more!! As if 103 fish wasn't enough, on the troll back in, our guys brought in a monster of a Wahoo! Just over 5 feet long and roughly 65 pounds. Goodness gracious what a fish, and what a trip! Team Trade Winds for the win!!! Excellent job to Capt. Larry, and Deckhands- AJ and Justin.
