The trip one fantastic and exactly as described, will be booking again for certain. Lots of bites, but only managed to bring in one Triggerfish, caught by my father. The crew cleaned and filleted the fish for us and I cooked it 3 styles; civeche, charcoal grilled, and fried. It was just as delicious as our Captain Neo said it would be. This was our first fishing charter experience and I highly recommend The Rusty Hook to anyone, can’t wait to go out again!

My group of 4 people ended up being a group of 2. Unfortunately 2 from our group did not make it out of the USA. The 2 of us went anyway. This made it cost the remaining people double. I had a very pleasant trip in spite of being half of our original group. Jorge and Niel made our trip worth the extra cost. We were able to fish for 4 different species of fish. All in all, the trip was productive. The weather was perfect. the waters were mostly calm and clear. Visibility was excellent. Both Jorge and Niel were knowledgable and informative.  it was a very enjoyable experience. I am grateful I chose Rusty Hook for my fishing experience.  I got a good workout bringing in the catches we hooked. At the conclusion of our trip, Niel gut and fileted some fish to bring back to our Resort Suite. I had a wonderful fresh fish meal that I prepared in my Suite. I recommend Jorge Cobtreas and The Rusty Hook charter for your your future fishing experience. This was definitely one of the hilights of our vacation. Thank you both, (Jorge and Niel). This will be a lasting memory.

Great boat. Easy boarding at the beach. My 15 year old son and I wanted to bottom fish rather than troll and the crew was ready and willing. We were immediately put on fish and caught snapper, trigger fish,  a banana fish, grouper and the fish that attaches itself to sharks. Looked like a 3 foot snake.

Unfortunately, less than 2 hours into the trip my son got seasick. Jorge and his crew knew we were actually close to our resort and dropped us off on the beach next to it rather than make the long run back to the mooring. He didn’t have to do this and actually could have gotten into trouble for beaching at a resort. But he did it for his customer. That’s the kind of guy he is apparently and all that you need to know in my opinion.

I’d use him over and over without hesitation. It’s about more than fishing.

I’ve been fishing in Mexico multiple times and this by far was the best trip. Not just because we caught amazing fish the crew was also great! While we were out there I asked why there weren’t many boats out fishing.. our Captain Jorge said everyone went south that day so we went north! I fish a lot in Minnesota and the one thing I know is to try and stay away from the crowds, it paid off!! 2 sailfish 1 white marlin multiple baricudda and trigger fish for the ceviche! Even if you aren’t catching the big ones ask to go catch smaller fish they put up a great fight as well! It is a smaller boat so if it’s rough try to bring a light jacket for some of the spray. I did a 6 hour trip and we had lines in the water for 6 hours. The crew was also easy to talk to and spoke English very well! Again, what a great trip!

Had a good time. Crew was good we caught Barracuda, wahoo, mahi-mahi on a day when other boats didn’t catch anything.
