After cast netting pogies on the beach we headed toward the north side of the north jettie. Stopping a quarter mile short of the red bouy we started slow trolling. Bait was busting everywhere and i knew there had to be a smoker along the rocks. The best tide for trolling the jetties is the incoming but we were a few minutes late and it had already started it outgoing tide. But just maybe, just maybe there would be a big one hanging around the bait pods. After ten minutes of slow trolling she struck and smoked the reel for at least 100 yards. After setting the drag Ronnie, the mate handed Shanes daughter the rod and she worked it perfectly. After a good 25 minutes and tediously working the fish the first mate stuck it with the gaff. This King would have paid in any tournament.

Sea conditions were not favorable but we made it happed. Big Cobia, lots of Red Snapper and big Sharks

Great day with Grouper, Amberjack, Vermillion Snapper and Triggers

Started the morning of Sunday May 21 trolling slow bite but managed two Mahi and some cuda's Bottom fished the drop off had a red hot bite with AJ's, Vermillion, Big Triggers, Graysby, Rock Hind Grouper. Made a quick stop on the way in and pulled up a Nice Black Grouper.

Great 10 hour day bottom fishing. Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Amber Jack and Triggers.

Good Morning Anglers, For the past 3 weeks our crew has been busy with routine maintenance and vessel improvements. Pipe Dream III is on the water and ready for some red hot action. The near shore Black Drum bite is turning on and should be productive for a few more weeks. Along with the Black Drum, nice size Whiting, Red fish and Sheep Head are bending the rod. Venturing a little further offshore fishing the reefs and wrecks the Black Sea Bass, Trigger fish, Amberjack and the Red Snapper are wearing out the anglers. For those of you that have the endurance the Goliath Grouper will certainly test your strength. NOAA has not announced a Red Snapper season for 2023 but when they do there will be no problem limiting out. There is some discussion by SAFMC for a recreational Red Snapper permit. We will keep you posted of further developments. Cruising 50 miles offshore bottom fishiing for Vermillion Snapper, Amberack, Cobia, Trigger fish, Mangrove and Mutton Snapper has been red hot with nonstop action. On a recent trip Pipe Dream III began the day trolling at the 50 mile location. It wasn't long into the day and the action started with Mahi, Kings and Sails. After some exciting trolling action the crew wanted some deep drop bottom bites, with Vermillion Snapper, Mangrove and Mutton Snapper, Amberjack and Triggers, the crew came home with a nice box of fish. Moving on out to the Gulf Stream the Wahoo bite has been showing alot of action along with Sailfish. In the next few weeks the Mahi and Black fin tuna should be showing up in good numbers. Trolling and targeting Mahi can make a very exciting day as the acrobatic Mahi dances across the surface of the Atlantic showing off their beautiful colors. With the arrival of Spring Break begining next week and continuing for the next couple of weeks bookings have been brisk and with summer just around the corner the vacationers have us busy booking into July.
