The pink salmon run is absolutely on fire right now, and weโ€™re getting easy limits with nonstop action! Huge schools of pinks have flooded Puget Sound, and the bite has been hot from the start of the day through the tide swings. This yearโ€™s return is one of the biggest weโ€™ve seen in recent seasons, and the fishing has been fast and fun for anglers of all experience levels. Weโ€™ve been trolling small pink hoochies and spoons behind flashers, and the pinks are hammering them. These fish are stacked up in shallow water and chasing gear aggressively. Along with the pinks, weโ€™re starting to see a few bright coho salmon show up in the mix, adding some bonus excitement and variety to the trips. With steady action and multiple hookups at once, itโ€™s been one rod-bending moment after another. Weโ€™re running daily charters during the peak of the pink season, and itโ€™s a great time to get on the water. Whether youโ€™re looking to fill the cooler or just enjoy a high-energy day of salmon fishing, weโ€™ve got you covered. The king salmon season kicked off strong, with anglers seeing consistent action and full limits on many trips. The current top fish on the leaderboard is a solid 18 pounds, 3 ounces, but the competition has been tight. Several other contenders have landed kings in the 11-13 pound range, making the leaderboard battle exciting early in the season. With plenty of fish in the 13-pound class and coho salmon also starting to show in better numbers and size, itโ€™s shaping up to be an excellent summer for salmon fishing.

We had a great day on the water with three awesome anglers visiting from Texas! The morning started off a bit slow, but once the bite turned on, it didnโ€™t let up. The action picked up quickly, and we ended the trip with full limits of beautiful coho salmon. The fish are getting bigger by the day, and the excitement is building for whatโ€™s shaping up to be an incredible season. Big thanks to our guests who even helped me get my limit, true team spirit! Fishing has been on fire the last few days, with limit after limit of coho salmon hitting the deck! Weโ€™ve had several incredible trips, including a full group of five anglers all limiting out with two coho per person. Another recent trip with a group of three also saw quick limits. The action has been fast, consistent, and a blast for everyone onboard. Even better, the coho are getting bigger by the week. Each trip is bringing in nicer fish, with strong, healthy silvers putting up a solid fight. Itโ€™s shaping up to be a fantastic run this season, and weโ€™re only expecting it to get better from here. The weather has been absolutely perfectโ€”calm seas, sunny skies, and ideal conditions for a day on the water. Tradition Cont.: Memorable Bass fishing

From June 8th to 10th, we hit the waters of Potholes Reservoir in Eastern Washington for a memorable fishing trip under the scorching sun. With temperatures soaring over 100 degrees one day, it was a test of endurance and patience, but the fishing made it all worth it. The crew this time included current Tengu Club members Doug Hanada, Evan Hanada, Guy Mamiya, and myself. Spirits were high, and the bass were biting. I had the early bragging rights, landing a solid 3 lb 8 oz largemouth bass that held the top spot through most of the trip. But as fishing luck would have it, the lead didnโ€™t last. On the final day, Evan Hanada came through clutch with a beautiful 3 lb 12 oz largemouth, bumping me off the podium and claiming the top fish of the trip. Even with the shift in leaderboard standings, it was a great few days out on the water with good company and plenty of action. Nothing beats time spent fishing with friends and family especially when itโ€™s paired with a little friendly Tengu Club competition.
