- I have fished Lake Erie my entire life personally and professionally. In the 1980's, I was a first mate on the Lynn Marie for several years. We fished for walleye, perch, and smallmouth bass on Lake Erie and salmon and trout on Lake Michigan during July and August. I have caught numerous Fish Ohio walleye! My biggest was 33" and 13.6 lbs. I enjoy taking new clients/friends on Lake Erie to enjoy the bounty of the lake.
- Techniques
- My favorite way to fish is jigging. When you're working the jig up and down and a walleye just stops your upswing, the excitement is exhilarating! Perch fishing is just as fun but on a different level. I enjoy trolling because it's challenging! You have to figure out so many variables to have a great day. First, find fish and hope they are hungry, then speed, depth, currents, colors, lure size, etc...
