- I spent my childhood alternating between two iconic South Florida landscapes—Biscayne National Park, with its crystalโclear waters, mangroveโfringed shorelines, coral keys, and reefs just off the Miami coast, and Everglades National Park, our national treasure of sprawling marshes, sawgrass prairies, and mangrove forests stretching across over 1.5 million acres of subtropical wilderness. I was constantly drawn to Flamingo, tucked into the southern reaches of the park, or heading out onto the Gulf Stream whenever I had the chance. Yet above all else, bonefishing captured my heart—those swift, ghostโlike bonefish stalking the flats became my lifelong passion—South Florida hosts some of the best bonefishing in the world, especially in Biscayne Bay and the Keys. Now, I’m excited to bring you along on a journey—let me show you the full spectrum of what South Florida fishing has to offer, from winding tidal creeks and remote Everglades backcountry to reefโlined flats and bonefish superโhighways in Biscayne Bay and the Keys.
