We had a very relaxing and productive day.

I booked a 4 hour Charter 11-3 on 1/22 for myself, wife and 2 kids. I have extensive pelagic fishing experiance both on my boat out of Boca Raton and many charters globally. The Capitan (Chuck) was not able to join the charter due to surgery. His crew took us out and it started off with them showing up late from an earlier charter. They told me they could make it up on the back end but we were limited on time so that did not work for us.
Lines (4) in the water quickly but we trolled for ~4 hours with no bites, hits, knockdowns, etc. There were no adjustments made to the gear and no change up in techniques.
I reached out to Capitan Chuck after the charter to provide my feedback voice my concerns around changing up lures, moving them further or closer, other baits, etc. He said he would make it up to me if I ever came back out to Kona.
Overall the weather was good but fishing could have been better if crew would have made adjustments or Capitan was on board to provide his expertise.

We know nothing about fishing, but this team, made it super comfortable for us to learn.  My daughter and I had a once in a life time memory.  Captain Sean and partner Summer did everything to catch a Marlin.  YES!  They made it happen and made our day.  They love fishing and they enjoyed taking us out.  Even if we didn’t catch anything it was well worth it.  The views, the ocean, the weather.  Now I understand why this Island is the best place in the world to catch marlin.

Sean and Jason were a terrific crew. Six of us, including a four-year-old and a six-year-old. I’m not saying bringing kids that small was a great idea (for us) but Sean and Jason were wonderfully supportive and friendly. After nearly three hours of trolling, we landed a 40-poundish shortbill spearfish and watched as Sean and Jason went into action to help us bring it on board. After the trip, they fileted it for us and packaged it. Five stars all around. Highly recommended.
