3 Shortbill Spearfish a nice Ahi and 4 Blue Marlin releases for FIRE HATT over the last 4 days. Peak of the Season here in Kona Hawaii. Kept the 4th of July open in case anyone wants to fish the World Cup. Any takers??

Another banner fishing day aboard FIRE HATT today! December fishing at its finest! Five for six on billfish, 0 for one on Mahi Mahi! Rob Dawson and his family from Kamloops, BC all had a fish today. Two Blue Marlin, two Striped Marlin, a Shortbill Spearfish and one lost Mahi!

Wonderful Kona winter fishing with friends from Ramona California on FIRE HATT. Early today the weather did not look promising but we decided to give it a try anyway. Ed Simon boated a beautiful 30 pound Mahi and Clay Howe released a 200 pound Blue Marlin. December hosts a vast variety of fish from Ahi Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Striped Marlin, Short Billed Spearfish and Pacific Blue Marlin. With small tunas around the buoys its a great outing for families!

Took a couple kids for their first trip out at sea. Crew was very friendly and accommodating. Boat was in great shape. We struck out, but that’s fishing. Capt Chuck was communicative throughout. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending them for your next trip.

I booked this trip for my husband and son who go deep sea fishing and have done so many places. They said this captain and crew were the best they ever fished with. Knowledgeable, enjoyable, knew the island, their boat and the equipment… could explain what they were doing and why. Although they did not catch a Marlin- they did catch a big tuna. We will be back and fish with them again!

Great experience! The boat access from the parking lot was fast and easy. The friendly 2 person crew were professional, knowledgeable and very eager to catch fish. The boat was clean and comfortable and well geared for landing a big one. Even though we didn’t get one today the experience was incredible and I might just try again before heading home. Highly recommended!
