My wife and 1 fished with Capt John on Southbound Charters. The boat was immaculate and the gear was top notch. We could not ask for a better experience. The Capt worked hard the entire trip putting us on fish the entire time. We also got to learn about the areas we went to as well.  The fishing was so good we had fillets for dinner for 2 days. We will be back in the fall and fishing with Capt John will definitely be part of our vacation.

Good communications between Capt. and myself as to time and pick-up spot.  He was at the dock for the 7 am start.  Very professional and had top of the line rigs.  Explained what and where we would go to find fish and did we find the fish. 1st went off shore for larger Snooks and we had 10-15 solid strikes.  They are smart fish and headed to the wreck on the bottom.  the 30 lbs leader was not strong enough.  Caught 1 large Goliath Grouper which are endangered so we released it! Headed to the mangroves and caught 8-10 smaller Snooks slightly smaller than the 28-32” size limit.  Also caught several Sea trout but released them.  During the warmer months they develop worms in their flesh so we didn’t keep them.  Capt. was eager to refresh the bait and made sure I always had a pole with the proper bait in the spot to get a bite which I got plenty.  The boat was a beautiful newer boat with a 300 hp motor.  Got us to spot quickly and comfortably.  Had plenty of cold water on board to stay hydrated.  I highly recommend Capt. John and will be going back next May to try again!

We booked a last minute evening trip w Capt. John. First off, he was willing to squeeze us in during a very busy time for him. That being said, our trip w John was an absolute blast. There were five of us total. His new Pathfinder was beautiful and had plenty of room for all of us.
We were on fish from the first cast and we couldn’t have had a better time!  The few hours we spent w John were definitely the highlight of our trip. We all laughed so hard, ended up turning into a boat ride w a friend instead of a fishing charter… we all had a blast!  I would highly recommend Capt John and Southbound Fishing Charters! We will definitely book again when we are in the area!!

My wife and I had a blast with Captain John at the helm of his new center console. He was punctual and had everything ready for us to set off when showed up. He took us to three active spots where we caught multiple fish each. We caught/kept enough to have a great meal at the Snook Inn after the tour. Captain John was friendly, helpful, and attentive while we fished. He helped my wife cast out farther and made sure she was set up properly. We fished for and caught Snook, Sheepshead, Mackerel, and Snapper. Would absolutely recommend this charter and Captain John. We’ll be back!

Capt John Pipitone is an excellent captain. My buddy and I caught 5 reds and kept our two slot fish, got a keeper sea trout, limited out on mangrove snapper, got 3 under slot snook, hooked up on a tarpon but unable to land it, and caught an assortment of jack crevalles. John has been fishing the waters around Marco Island his whole life. The dude can flat out fish. That’s why I’m a repeat customer. Tony from Ft Lauderdale.
