Captain John made this family deep-sea fishing trip a great and unforgettable one. For some of us it was the first time deep sea fishing and he took the time, to show and explain little tricks and tips from baiting the hook to dropping the bait. We had a great time on our 5 hour AM trip on Catch 22. We wanted to catch some snapper but also a variety of species. John was a great captain, and he got us on fish throughout the day. My son and I were able to pull in a variety of different fish, including but not limited to several red snapper, Mingo snapper, mangrove snapper, trigger fish, and a tuna. Captain John was top notch! We got lucky enough to also have Captain Ryan along. Our trip was scheduled for early morning, but unfortunately the lightening was too much to go out. John waited for the storm to pass and figured out a way to get us on the water. Our first stop we were right on the fish! All 3 of our kids had fish on with the first drop! HIGHLY recommend John (and Ryan)! It was a great day of fishing and conversation!

Had the opportunity to go out with Captain John on his charter boat Catch 22 with my brother in laws and what a blast. John and his deck hand Riley were great to work with and put us on the fish. We even got to weigh some in at the Destin Fishing rodeo to help John get some more points! Hopefully we can get back out with him again. 10/10

We planned this fishing trip last minute and I’m so glad we did!  My kids had a blast, my son was living his best life. We caught several fish, saw dolphins, and the captain even cleaned one of our fish for us. The Captain was awesome and very knowledgeable. When we come visit again we would definitely book again!
