The very friendly captain Billy picked us up from our hotel beach at JW right on time. Boat was clean and well equipped with 2 other very experienced crew. Started trolling and got our first wahoo in less then 15 mins in ! We booked a whole day trip and ended with 11 catch in total ! !  All at least more than 15 lbs each ! Fishes were kept in chiller. I got to fly my drone on the boat as well with the Brabant mountain as the back drop ! Ended the day with Billy showing us where the underwater waterfall is on a smaller motorboat and dropped us off right in front of our hotel . One of the best experiences in our 20 years of travel …

My family went on a 6 hour trip last week (June 2023) during our vacation in Mauritius. The captain was very communicative before the trip - including setting expectations since we sought a booking during the low/offseason for fishing around Mauritius. I appreciate when people do such things. I told him I understood and I wanted to go anyways because, as has been said, the worst day of fishing is better than the best day in the office. Shortly before our scheduled day the captain messaged me and suggested rescheduling by a few days since the weather forecast showed the seas being a bit choppy. Again, I appreciate when people do such things. On the day of the trip we met the crew and headed out to sea. We caught a few skipjack tuna and the blue marlin in the picture - 115 kgs! The biggest fish I’ve ever caught. He put up a good fight, too, and took over 20 minutes to bring in. All the crew was quite surprised since we are not in marlin season. All I know is we had a great time, the crew was wonderful, and if we come to Mauritius again I’d love to go out once more with them.

Captain Billy was communicative and accommodating. We asked to go for yellow fin tuna, which we weren’t able to come across, but it was clear he was trying to find us the tuna and while on the hunt we were able to bring in a great haul of skip jack and wahoo. Billy and his team also kept the boat incredibly clean, even as we were bringing fish in. It was a great boat with plenty of space and a good restroom available. All in all a great trip.

The brothers who run the Billfish know the waters of Mauritius inside out. Having fished for Marlin all over the world i came to Mauritius specificly to target a Balck Marlin. They have all the gear you could which for. They switch effortlesly between trolling in deep water with lures to livebaiting on a dwonrigger along the drop off. Allthough water temperatures were not ideal yet, we did manage to hook and land a black. I could not have wished for a better boat or a more proffesional crew.Highly reccomended!!!
