My brother and I drove down from the Dallas area for an early morning 4 hour trip. We had Capt. Burke as our guide. Very cool guy and professional. We started at 7am and by 9am we had already caught 5 Bonnethead Sharks, a stingray, and many other small bait fish. We were able to keep 2 of the sharks. Capt. Burke cleaned and fillet the shark for us to take home. Even though I got seasick and we had to cut the trip a bit short, Capt. Burke made the experience very worth it.

I met Captain Derek in the morning and told him exactly what I was looking to do - catch big bull reds. Explained that I wasn’t worried about quantity of fish, keepers to take home etc.. - I was trophy hunting. Derek got it and knew exactly what to do, and also made it very fun. Reel Men Fishing Charter did a great job for my son and I today. It wasn’t the best weather for fishing (high winds, choppy waters, rip currents) but we still caught fish! Anytime you can bring some fish home to eat for dinner is a great day and in my book. Captain Jonathan went above and beyond in every way. This was a great experience for us provided by Reel Men Fishing Charters.  First note - do the 6 hour trip instead of the 4.  The time flies on the water and you’ll be left wanting more.  The morning was really windy so we started in a calm area, which was the best spot of the day.  Captain Derek put us on the fish here both times we visited while others around us weren’t catching anything.  We did venture out for bigger fish, but the bite was dead and the wind didn’t help.  It was worth the shot.  Overall, we caught 50 plus fish and put 34 in the boat, which ended up being over 5 pounds to take home.  Also, the Captain can tell you the restaurant to go to that will cook your catch for you.  Trust me and go to that restaurant!  They cook it to perfection, you get a bunch of sides, the staff hustles, the atmosphere is great, and everyone will have an awesome time.  Do yourself a favorite and schedule your charter with Reel Men Fishing Charters.
