We had an awesome day out on Lake Taupō with Marty! The fishing charter was well organised, clean and the gear was top notch. Marty was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. We definitely recommend to anyone keen on a great day of trout fishing.

It was truly a perfect activity. We often go fishing, but this is the first time fishing from a boat on a lake. The weather is great and the scenery is beautiful. The result is also very perfect. The best thing is that Marty was very nice throughout the whole process and gave us a perfect activity experience. In the end, he also cleaned and packed the fish for us to take home. We can also watch and feed seagulls. It’s wonderful!

Great day’s fishing, caught 16 fish between 3 of us! Marty is a wonderful captain and host, his boat has everything you need and his fishing knowledge and teaching skills are second to none! We’ll be back!

We got skunked for the first hour, but started catching rainbows within a few minutes of reaching a new spot. We kept one for dinner, cooked up beautifully for us at the Crafty Trout Brewery, just a minute or two from the dock. WAY more fish than we could finish but our waiter assured us that he’d finish it up for us. Overall, a very pleasant afternoon!
