Captain Marty was fun and knowledgeable, both about fishing and the history of the area. we caught 14 nice rainbows, but only kept 3. Captain Marty was kind enough to clean them for us.  His boat was the absolute cleanest fishing boat we have ever been on.  Thank you, Captain Marty!!

Did an afternoon trip as a solo fisher.  Had a great trip Marty was really friendly so chatted whilst fishing.  Caught pretty consistently through the trip, didn’t get any monsters but had 3 good sized.  I took one and Crafty Trout brewery cooked it up for me + great beer.

I can’t speak highly enough of Marty. I went out with my mum, we caught 5 keepers and 12 fish overall in what were less than ideal weather conditions. Marty was very personable and gave great historical insights regarding Lake Taupo.

Marty was a great guy, got us on the fish, boat kept us dry, the 3 hr trip was perfect for my wife and I. Bonus to see the Maiori rock carvings, even a duck stopped by to wish us luck!  5 nice fish, eating 2 and smoking 3 for later!
