I moved to the Aransas Pass/Rockport Texas areas back in 2019 to completely start my life over again. I've had a passion for fishing since I was a small child. It has always been a way for me to get away from everyday life. When I'm on the water, I have a sense of peace and joy, still to this day, that I can't explain. That passion has lead me through some really difficult times throughout my life. I was new to inshore fishing when I moved here but with time on the water, hard work and dedication, I got really good at finding the fish. I have grown to really love the challenges that inshore fishing provides. It's not always easy as conditions change on a daily bases. There are 4 rules that I have learned and fish by when it comes to inshore fishing that helps me to be a successful fisherman. 1. Find the bait activity 2. Fish through that activity and cover water. 3. On a low activity day, spot jump structure where I have caught fish at many times before. 4. Read the water and signs. On the slow days of catching, we enjoy all that our water has to offer. I was a freshwater fisherman growing up but some of the same techniques rolled over to inshore and the rest I have learned mostly on my own. I became a full time kayak guide in May of 2021. We have made a lot of really great memories fishing from the kayaks! I have learned that kayak fishing can be really hard on my customers. It takes a lot of practice but kayak fishing can be a lot of fun. I received my Captains license and started guiding from my flats boat. I look forward to the new adventures and the memories we will share with each other out on the water. I am patient and understanding and willing to teach you anything that you ask of me. Born in Houston Texas. Graduated Alvin High school. I worked as a landscape irrigator for over 15 years. Foreman and owner of my own landscape company for 8 years. I've worked for other landscape companies running crews for commercial properties. I can design, bid, and install irrigation as well as fish, but those days are long gone. I started my YouTube channel in May of 2020 just as a hobby and to help other fisherman catch fish by giving them tips and advise through my videos. Deep down God had bigger plans for me, and when God puts something in my heart that stays, I can't help but go with it. Quitting my full time job as an irrigator to become a full time fishing guide was scary for me, but I had a really strong feeling that it was that time. I thank him multiple times a day, every day, that I am doing what I truly love and making a living on His water. I named my business Clean Fun Fishing after my sobriety. My sobriety date is September of 2017 and I haven't looked back ever since. I do not allow drugs or alcohol on my trips. Being clean and sober has opened up a whole new world for me that I now live for...Fishing! It's an experience that I would love to share with you! I've had ups and downs in life but I am finally where I need to be...On the water. Let's go get them lines tight!!

4 Hour Inshore Fishing Trip1 adult

Another great day of fishing with Captain Justin/Clean Fun Fishing. My third trip was a charm with catching my PB Redfish. Justin knows where to go and uses both live and artificial bait as we worked to catch Speckled Trout and Redfish. Recommend Justin for a great day on the water and opportunity to catch some good fish. Will be back again for sure.

Epic day with Clean Fun Fishing

    4 Hour Inshore Fishing Trip

The morning started with an amazing Sunrise. Captain Justin had all the equipment that I needed.,just had to step on the boat. He even had some water. The boat was clean and well maintained. Not long after we launched Captain Justin was pointing out fish, next thing I know he hands me a pole and says cast there. Trout after Trout, I had my very first limit of trout. Captain says ready to go get some Reds. Off we go to another spot. Ok, throw there. Boom ! I catch a huge Redfish. Captain Justin ,landed my Redfish and took my picture. Caught more Redfish and even some Drum. He is very knowledgeable. Im excited for my next trip. Highly recommend Clean Fun Fishing charter.

What's biting with Clean Fun Fishing in Rockport

Tarpon make their way through the bay, while Bull Redfish come out to play, meaning an inshore adventure is as fruitful as ever. However, big game hunters can make the most of Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo offshore.

Port Aransas Fishing Report: Black Drum

Sep 11, 2026 • Rockport
The black drum and mangrove snapper bite has been good around Port Aransas, Aransas Pass, Ingleside and the surrounding bays. We’ve been fishing live shrimp on Carolina rigs along rock edges and drop-offs in about 4 to 6 feet of water. Keeping the shrimp close to the bottom and tight to the structure has been producing the best bites. Black drum have been picking up shrimp along the bottom, while mangrove snapper are holding tight to the rocks. Small changes in where the bait is placed can make a big difference. The inshore bite continues to provide good opportunities for families, kids and experienced anglers.

Black Drum, Redfish & Mangrove Snapper o

Sep 8, 2026 • Rockport
The inshore bite has been producing a nice mix of fish this week. I’ve been catching black drum, redfish, and mangrove snapper around the Port Aransas, Aransas Pass, and Ingleside area. Live shrimp on a Carolina rig has been the ticket. Fishing the shrimp near the bottom around deeper water, channels, and structure has been producing steady action and several different species. Black drum have been picking up the shrimp well, with redfish mixed in and mangrove snapper continuing to bite around structure. If you're headed to the Texas Coast, now is a good time to get out on the water and see what’s biting.

Mangrove Snapper Bite Is Still Going Str

Aug 29, 2026 • Rockport
I had another good morning of inshore fishing with the mangrove snapper continuing to bite. Once I found the fish, my customers were able to put together a nice box of snapper and take home some fresh fish for dinner. Mangrove snapper are a lot of fun on light inshore tackle. They fight hard, and when the bite gets going, they can make for an action-packed trip. I fish throughout the Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Ingleside and Corpus Christi Bay area, depending on the conditions and where I believe I can give my customers the best opportunity to catch fish. If you're looking to get out on the water, I still have dates available. Book a trip with me at Clean Fun Fishing and come see what's biting along the Texas Coastal Bend.

Mangrove Snapper Fishing Is on Fire in t

Aug 28, 2026 • Rockport
Mangrove snapper fishing has been on fire lately throughout the Texas Coastal Bend! These fish have been biting consistently, making them one of the most exciting species to target right now around Rockport, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, and Corpus Christi Bay. If you’re looking for steady action and some excellent fish to bring home for dinner, this is a great time to get on the water. Mangrove Snapper Are Biting The mangrove snapper bite has been excellent around structure, deeper channels, rocks, pilings, and other areas where these fish like to hold. When you find the right spot, the action can happen fast. Mangrove snapper are aggressive, strong fighters for their size, and a lot of fun for both experienced anglers and people who don’t fish very often. They’re also a great species for families and kids because there can be plenty of action once the bite gets going. Fishing Around Ingleside and Aransas Pass The Ingleside and Aransas Pass area continues to produce some great fishing. There is a lot of structure and moving water in this part of the Coastal Bend, which creates excellent habitat for mangrove snapper. Live shrimp has been one of my go-to baits. Getting the bait down around the structure where the snapper are holding can produce some hard strikes. You need to be ready when they hit. Mangrove snapper are quick and will head straight back toward structure if you give them the chance. Rockport and Port Aransas Mangrove Snapper Fishing Anglers staying in Rockport or Port Aransas don't have to travel far to experience this bite. One of the advantages of fishing the Texas Coastal Bend is the variety of water available. Depending on the conditions, we can fish different areas throughout the bays and channels while looking for the best bite. Mangrove snapper are only part of what we may encounter. Redfish, black drum, and speckled trout are also possibilities while fishing these waters. Corpus Christi Bay Fishing Corpus Christi Bay also offers excellent opportunities for inshore fishing. Structure, channels, reefs, and areas with good tidal movement can all hold fish. Conditions can change from one day to the next, so I pay attention to the wind, tide, water movement, and recent fishing activity when deciding where to start. Right now, mangrove snapper have definitely earned a spot near the top of the list. A Great Fish for Kids and Families Mangrove snapper are one of my favorite fish to target with families because they can provide exactly what many people want from a fishing trip: action. You don't need years of fishing experience to catch them. I enjoy helping beginners and kids learn how to feel the bite, set the hook, fight the fish, and get it into the boat. Whether you're an experienced fisherman or this is your first time holding a fishing rod, I'll help you throughout the trip. Book a Texas Coastal Bend Fishing Trip If you've been thinking about getting out on the water, now is a great time. The mangrove snapper have been on fire, and we're going to keep taking advantage of the bite while it's good. Clean Fun Fishing offers family-friendly inshore fishing trips serving Rockport, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, and Corpus Christi Bay. Rods, reels, bait, tackle, water, Gatorade, and fish cleaning are provided on our regular bait fishing trips. Mangrove Snapper & Black Drum Bite

Aug 23, 2026 • Rockport
The mangrove snapper and black drum bite has been good lately! Live shrimp fished near the bottom on a Carolina rig has been producing plenty of action, with some speckled trout and redfish possible in the mix. We’ve been concentrating on structure, deeper channels, and areas with good moving water around Ingleside, Port Aransas, and Corpus Christi Bay. Mangrove snapper are aggressive and a lot of fun on light tackle, while the black drum have been putting up a great fight. Fishing conditions and locations change from day to day, so I’ll take you where I believe we have the best opportunity to catch fish. If you're ready to get on the water, book your trip and come fish the Texas Coastal Bend with me! Tight lines, Captain Justin

Good Mangrove Snapper Bite on Live Shrim

Aug 18, 2026 • Rockport
Mangrove snapper have been biting good lately on live shrimp! We’ve also been mixing in some speckled trout and black drum, giving us plenty of action and a nice variety of fish. A Carolina rig with live shrimp has been producing well, especially around structure and areas with good moving water. Fishing has been good along the Texas Coastal Bend, and I’ll continue fishing the areas that are producing the best bite based on the weather, tides and conditions. If you're ready to get on the water, book a trip and come fish with me! Captain Justin
