Thanks to Sound-N-Sea ( Capt Matt) life time memories were made for my daughter and myself. Capt Matt had on fish very quickly despite less than ideal weather conditions, he was patient with my daughter and myself for that matter and genuinely seemed just as happy as I was when Syd caught her first saltwater fish ( she also caught a lot more).This trip was very special for me and thanks to Capt Matt it was a successful one too.

Matt was a great guide and had us on fish immediately, all together we ended up with 20 or so blue and spanish. He had the boat well supplied for our day on the water and went above and beyond to shared a number of tips and tricks with us to use next time we’re out on our own. 10/10.

I accidentally stumbled across Capitan Matt’s services when I was scrolling online one night. I checked out the website and couldn’t believe how reasonable the prices were! I booked a half day for my 81 year old dad, 22 year old daughter, and myself. Matthew stayed in contact with me during the time leading up to the trip. Fast forward to the trip. Matt was at the dock waiting for us. At first I was skeptical because I was used to fishing on larger boats. But we rolled with it. His boat was extremely clean. There was plenty of room for our snacks, towels, extra clothes and cooler. The rod and reels were in excellent shape and ready to use. Matt was so polite and helpful during the trip. He put us right where the fish were. My family and I had fun because we were actually casting and reeling ourselves, instead of the traditional ride and 4troll. He was able to put us right on the Bluefish and we quickly got our limit. Then we caught Tuna. I was the only one who did not get a Tuna. He apologized. It definitely was not Matt’s fault. He chased those fish and tried harder than any other captain I’ve had. We then caught Jacks and Spanish Mackerel. When it was time to leave he helped wash the fish and get them in the cooler. We all enjoyed today and I will be booking with Matt again! He talked to us during the whole day like we were life long friends. We had a wonderful time catching fish at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to have an awesome day on the water!

With exception of me hooking a good-sized Bluefish (by my standards - around 5 pounds) we struggled to get bites from bigger “keeper” fish.

My dad and I had a great time off the shore, as well as in the sound. We learned how to troll (using fish as a bait), as well as how to gig. We did catch a variety of different kinds of fish (Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Grey Trout, and others I never heard of). Matt was very knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend him for a good time.

P.S. with Matt’s help (setting up a trolling line) I did have the experience of catching a Sting Ray in my last half-hour. Thanks Matt, we had a great time today.

My son who is 9 and I booked Matt for a half day trip. He was professional and immediately put us on some fish. He continued to find fish throughout the trip. He even pointed out some wild horses, stingrays, and dolphins. Would highly recommend Matt’s services.
