Captain Tom & his 1st mate went above and beyond to make a Saturday morning fishing trip one for the books. He didn’t give up and searched until we found the perfect spot to fish. Absolutely amazing with my 11 year old son while taking time to teach some fishing tricks & educate on various types of fish.
Caught some sharks, croaker, flounder, stargazer & even a ray.

The crew was great, they were super helpful and really attentive. Definitely recommend even if you don’t know how to fish. They will bait every hook for you and taking the fish off if that’s not your thing too! If the fish stopped biting, the captain would move to make sure we were getting bites. Only thing I would recommend is to over packing since it started as a nice day and a storm randomly came out of nowhere and we got soaked.

My 17-year-old grandson and I have been taking annual fishing tris in hopes of hook a large fighting fish.  That desire was fulfilled on “Goin’ Fishin” with Capt Tom and mate Rob.  They work together like the 40 year team they are.  They made the experience of finding, hooking and boating a 200 bound thresher shark the exciting experience we hoped for.  They did every helpful thing necessary to give him the independent fight he longed for.

Captain Tom took four of us on his absolutely gorgeous boat, that was extremely clean and filled with up to date gear. He chased birds to get us casting, then switched up to trolling since conditions were rough, in no time we had our limit. After we hit our limit we switched up the gear to try and land some bigger bass. His big live well kept the fish alive and moving. The wire line trolling gear felt bulletproof as we were reeling in 2 to 3 and sometimes 4 bass in at once. Great way to still get fish in rough conditions. We landed about 40 striped bass for the day. The captain filleted the 4 bass we kept and we went home happy customers.

The boat itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and successful trip. The captain’s knowledge of the waters was remarkable—he knew the best spots, and his skill at reading the conditions ensured we were always in the right place at the right time. 

The crew made sure my son had an amazing experience. They were patient, enthusiastic, and happy to share tips and techniques. They didn’t just help us catch fish; they made sure we understood the process, enhancing the whole adventure. It wasn’t just about catching fish; it was about learning, laughing, and truly connecting with the water.

The highlight of the day was the sheer amount of fish we caught. Ten total stripers!!! My son’s smile has not left his face.  At some point we caught 4 on one line. 🎣🙌

This fishing charter exceeded every expectation and left us with memories we’ll treasure forever.
