Monty is one of the most personable and entertaining people I have ever met period. From the moment we got there he had us rolling telling stories and just generally having a good time. The fish weren’t hitting a ton on this trip but it didn’t matter at all. We were out on a gorgeous day, hanging with good people. Even if we had caught nothing at all this would have been worth the trip! I can’t recommend Captain Big Fish enough and look forward to our next trip, even further out!

From the moment that my wife and 3 boys pulled up to the dock, Captain Monty had his Mate well-prepared with a warm smile & the boat ready to go -  I could see the excitement in my boys’ eyes the moment we pulled up! Sure enough, moments later, Captain Monty comes roaring in and dialed in to show us a great day on the water - and that’s what it was ..... catching fish on a great boat with a great Captain and his fantastic Mate. Captain Monty and his first mate were fantastic!  I had a group of four salty teenagers with me and they were able to engage them all.  We were all newbies to sea fishing and they gave clear, easy instructions.  Able to help all of the kids with any questions they had.  They were very accommodating to anything we needed and the bathroom on the boat was a total bonus.  They were very communicative on schedule, what to bring, when to be there, directions, etc.  Everything couldn’t have gone... Captain Monty is the best charter I’ve ever taken. Not because we went out and caught a bunch of Marlin, but because we caught fish when all you heard on the radio from all the other charters was how they were getting nothing! He’s a great guy, very positive, personable, and knowledgeable.

Great experience as first timers! Caught plenty fish including a big barracuda and a rare species! Boat is super nice and comfortable and appreciated the complimentary cold water and snacks to keep us fueled plus the music vibes. Shout out to the mate for showing us the ropes!
