Just got back from an amazing fishing trip! Our captain, Balta and his first mate were fantastic with my kids, making sure they had a blast while teaching them the ropes. We had a wonderful time fishing, the most authentic part of our holiday.  The meeting point is located just slightly North of Playa Del Carmen, the setting is rustic and what you would expect from serious fishermen.  We set off down the coast with drinks views and music, the Captain could not have been more obliging.  Firstly we spent a couple of hours or so looking for bait (Tuna) then dredging for deeper fish such as Barracuda.  We then went into shallower waters where everyone... Fun from start to finish. Took 9 Mahi Mahi in the first 4 hours. Lot of waves for the last 2 hours. Guides was working very hard to keep us fishing and kids had fun in big waves. Great day !!!

Tough day catching fish but not for any lack of effort or knowledge from Balta and Paolo. We caught a few grouper and snapper. They pulled out all the stops and they really know their fishing. No one was catching today. The snorkeling was world class. Saw a huge sting ray, some needlefish, and a bunch of other fish.

My two teenage boys and I booked a 6 hour trip. We had an excellent time. We had so much fun catching our first Mahi Mahi. Highly recommend.
