We had a fabulous trip, captain Chris and first mate Gus were awesome, took care of all our needs and were fully stocked with equipment, beverages and lunch. We had a slow start, struggled a bit getting the live bait so expectations started out low but ended up being the best fishing trip I had ever. Caught a couple of big grouper, 3 red snapper a a bunch of other good sized fish. The boat was fast and nimble and made for a great trip. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. .

I booked a 6-hour trip with Captain Cristobal for myself, my wife, 15-year old son and 10-year old daughter in July. I have a bit of fishing experience (Alaska) but my wife and kids had none. Captain Cristobal was very good about helping us all by explaining the techniques and equipment. He is a very friendly, knowledgeable man, fun to talk to and his English is excellent.
We spent the trip bottom fishing in about 100 feet of water. At our first stop, I had my line in the water about 30 seconds before I hooked a nice large triggerfish. Cristobal was very active in baiting the hooks and giving us assistance, tips and advice; anytime the fish stopped biting, he moved the boat to a different area. Everyone was regularly catching fish (mostly nice large triggerfish and a couple of snapper) and after a couple of hours, we had a large haul of big fish in the cooler.
Although it was a very hot day, there were plenty of cold drinks (including beer) on board to keep us refreshed, and the burrito lunch was delicious. The boat was spacious, comfortable, and very stable on the water.
We had a great time, were highly satisfied, and will definitely book with Captain Cristobal on our next trip to Puerto Penasco!
