My wife and I had some extra time in Buenos Aires, so she encouraged me to book a fishing trip, and we lucked out by picking Captain Mauricio! His driver met us at our hotel in Buenos Aires and drove us to the marina in Tigre where Capt. Mauricio took us out for a great 4-hour trip. We started by using worms to catch river catfish to use for bait for golden dorado, but then Captain Mauricio switched us over to live bait fishing since he could tell there were golden dorado nearby. We managed to catch a small one as well as several other interesting fish. It was a sunny and pleasant July day, and we were very impressed with the charcuterie board the Captain had prepared for our lunch. He had even asked in advance whether we’d prefer beer, water, or wine, and he had all of the necessary provisions - including a tablecloth and real glasses! Captain Mauricio was highly interesting and very patient with us, as we managed to get our hooks hung up on shrubbery, the line stuck on the reel, and other inexperienced angler behavior - “It’s no problem” is what he said repeatedly as he handed off a fresh rod and reel while he worked on solving the problem we had created. Highly recommend the trip - would definitely do it again!

I had an incredible experience with Captain Mauricio on his fishing charter today! From start to finish, the trip was flawless. The captain’s passion and extensive knowledge about fishing made the trip both educational and exciting.

The lunch provided was delicious, adding a perfect touch to the day. We caught a variety of fish, even those that were out of season, thanks to the captain’s expertise. The boat was immaculate and well-maintained, showcasing the pride Captain Mauricio takes in his work.

Refreshments like coffee, beer, and tea were readily available with just a simple question, making the trip even more enjoyable. Additionally, the pick-up and drop-off service from the hotel was punctual and extremely convenient, ensuring a stress-free experience.

I can’t say enough about this excursion and Captain Mauricio. Everything was well planned from the time we booked it.

I traveled to Buenos Aires with my son and I. From the time we book this excursion with Captain Mauricio he was in constant contact by way of text messages. Answered all our questions immediately and attention to detail was great.

He provided a driver to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. I found this to be very helpful, if you ever driven in Buenos Aires you know it can be chaotic. He also provided lunch and drinks, even asked if there was anything special we wanted to have for the day.

The captain also asked what types of fish we were looking to catch and he put us on therm. We started the day catching smaller catfish to use as bait for the ultimate prize for my son, catching a Golden Dorado. He caught 8 that day and this was by far the highlight of his trip to Argentina.

If you are in Buenos Aires I highly recommend chartering a fishing excursion with Captain Mauricio. He was very knowledgeable of the area and waterways. He was very knowledgeable of the fish and used different techniques to help us catch them. It was a day well spent on the Rio De La Plata and making memories with my son.

I almost forgot to mention, Captain Mauricio also took photos for us and put together a great video for us to have. It’s things like this and the attention to details that puts this trip above other fishing excursions I have taken.

We had a great day with captain Mauricio. His driver hector was early to pick us up at our hotel, friendly and communication was decent. (We speak little Spanish) upon arriving at the marina Mauricio was in the boat ready to go parked along side the dock. Boat and equipment was great. ( rod and reels were brand new) it took us a bit to get used to the technique but once we got it we had a great day. I think 9 fish in total!!. Mauricio had snacks, lunch and beverages on board. All we very good. Weather turned out great so that helped. Mauricio is extremely knowledgeable and speaks good English. Easy to communicate with and good sense of humor

Great trip! I booked a half day with the captain.  The boat is nice.  New electronics, motor and cushions.  The captain has over 30 year’s of experience and he knows the rivers.  We floated live bait and caught golden dorado.  He had plenty of snacks and drinks on the boat.  I would book again for a relaxing day on the water.
