First of all, the dock was easy to find, parking was easy and Captain Brody was ready for us even though we arrived 15 minutes early both days. Mom uses a cane and had no accessibility issues at all. The store was open and offered us coffee and a clean washroom to use before we headed out to sea. Brody greeted us kindly and I immediately knew that we liked him.

Before we headed out he asked if we’d like to drop a crab trap but we declined and chose to wait until day 2.

The morning was great. We wanted to target halibut as none of us had ever caught one before. Captain Brody went straight to a spot he had scouted out a few days earlier. It was amazing! We limited out with 4 halibut in an hour and 15 minutes! (This wasn’t expected and I wouldn’t suggest this expectation) From there Captain took us out trolling where my wife hammered a 15lb Spring (again, this too was unexpected this early in the season and we were the only boat to catch a Spring on this particular day) We also hooked into a few smaller lings which was a bonus because we wanted to target lings on day 2. Back to the dock by 1 and Brody cleaned all our fish before we dropped them off to the packer.

Day 2
Again we were a bit early and Captain was ready. We dropped a crab trap and headed out for lings. To our amazement we limited out with 12 lings by 10 o’clock! These lings were much bigger than the day one lings. Dad caught a lunker one his 70th birthday! Brody took us out to target a few rock fish and again we limited out with 12 black rock fish in about 30 minutes. At one point all 4 of us were fish on and Captain Brody handled it like a boss! We still had some time left so he took us back to do a troll for Springs. We didn’t get another Spring but really enjoyed the ride. We went and pulled the trap which had a few nice dungees in there. Brody kept them in a live trap for us until we left the next morning. Again he cleaned all our fish and we dropped off the lings to the packer for pick up the next morning. ($2.75 a pound for processing and flash freezing but well worth it knowing your fish is going to make it home in perfect condition)

I could say allot more but you’re probably getting tired of reading… lol. Bottom line. It was our greatest 2 days of fishing in our lives. (and we do allot of fishing) Captain Brody is the Man! I highly recommend him!

We had a great first time salmon fishing adventure with the whole family. We got to see some sea otters, river otters and caught more fish than we expected to.
The kids had a great time, they smiled ear to ear while holding them fish they reeled in. The 5 of us each brought home a fish or two. Great experience for small and big kids alike!

Two of us went out with Captain Brody. He noticed something the other guides didn’t see and with a little patience we were into the king salmon. Three in the 20Lb. range and lots of catch and release. At one point we had two on at the same time.
Good guide, quality equipment and great fishing what could be better!

Adventure staff & fishing experience was excellent.  From booking to the trip, to regular communication leading to the day of fishing, to the fishing day experience, their entire team was great.  And Captain Brody truly made our experience like none other.  Highly recommend this team, and Captain Brody!

Captain Brody was very accommodating for a family of four on our rainy day fishing charter from Tofino. The calmer water in the open ocean allowed for a very successful trip of salmon fishing, despite my daughter losing the “lucky lure” on a “big one” in the morning. Captain Brody was patient with the kids and had my son helping with the downrigger, and picking the lucky depths for trolling. Thanks for a great day, even in the rain.
