I absolutely cannot speak highly enough of Captain Richard and this trip! I asked for Big fish and we caught monsters! Even caught some to keep and the rest were too big to keep but were absolutely perfect for photos and memories for my 12 and 9 year old! Not to mention how good he was with the kids on helping and teaching them… This is a trip we will never forget! Highly recommend for a great fishing trip!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Enjoyed a 6 hour trip with my 18 year old son and Captain Richard on 10/1. We didn’t have much luck with the big fish, though we did pull in 3 good sized gafftop catfish. The lack of luck certainly wasn’t for lack of effort on Richard’s part. He drove us around to 5 or 6 different spots, looking for the bite. Even though the big bite eluded us, we caught more sand trout and croakers than we could count- which kept us entertained while waiting for the big fish. Richard was great- pleasant conversation and plenty of patience with a couple of relative rookies. The boat was large, clean, and very well kept up. Wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip with these guys.

Brad and Connor took a few landlubbers from N Texas and schooled our group on saltwater fishing. Everyone saw lots of action and lost no time taking fish off the hook and baiting for the next cast. The highlight was the relationship they built with our six year old teammate. Brad and Connor taught him not only how to fish, but how to talk and count like a fisherman. To the delight of everyone our youngest member of the team caught the first, most and most variety of fish during the day. He even got to reel in a four foot shark for posterity sake. Brad taught him to face his fears of a shark coming out of the water as well as to remember that even though you may feel all alone pulling that fish in, you actually have more support than you realize. A great family experience. Thanks to Brad and Connor for great memories and a nice dinner.

Different Captain than we ordered, had been chartering for 8 months, we caught 3 fish in 4 hours, spent the last 45 minutes sitting around w/ 4 people watching a single pole in the water that didn’t do anything while the captain called to see how much tinted windows for his truck would cost. Not a good outing whatsoever.

Enjoyed our fishing trio with Captain Richard. We caught several white trout that we used for bait. All four of us was able to catch a shark. It rained on us for approximately 25 minutes, but it’s all part of the experience and adventure, besides, I haven’t stayed out in the rain in years, so it was a refreshing change of scenery. I would definitely recommend SeaPlay Sportfishing. Can’t wait to go again next year.
