My son and I spent a full day on the Tall Tales Charter with Captain Jim Miller. We met up with Captain Jim at 6 a.m., and were fishing by 6:20. It was clear, warm and a minimal chop on the water. The first stop we made appeared like this was going to be a very slow day fishing. However, Captain Jim didn’t waste much time on an unproductive spot. We quickly relocated to a new area. It turns out the fish were not jumping in the boat. Never the less, Captain Jim kept us on fish all day. We had to work for our fish…. but by the end of the day, the two of us got our limit of nice walleyes. We were just a couple of fish short of getting a limit for the boat ( including the Captains limit). Based on the constant radio chatter, I firmly believe we did better than most boats out there today. Captain Jim stayed with it and got us our fish… which, by the way, was the goal after all. It was a fun day, on a well maintained, well equipped vessel. In the end, Captain Jim is a friendly, knowledgeable fisherman who showed us a good day of fishing. Highly recommended! When we come back, we will definitely book again with Tall Tales Charters and Captain Jim Miller.

Captain Jim was great with family. Very flexible during fishing charter.

The weather did not cooperate with our trip.  We are grateful that Captain Jim Miller was honest and realized that 3-5ft swells were not conducive for an enjoyable trip. We will reschedule.
