We booked a 4 hour trip with Captain Nathan. Our group included my 3 sons, ages 10, 12, and 14, and myself. We had never been to the FL Keys before but we enjoy fishing and wanted to experience it there while we visited on spring break. We weren’t sure if the weather would work for us on the day we’d been planning to go, and Nathan was flexible with us, offering us a reschedule or refund if we wanted. We decided to go for it and after catching some bait we decided to see what conditions were like about 4 miles out near a wreck where Nathan said the Yellowtail bite had been good. He patiently worked with my boys and me to coach us on how to fish, and it wasn’t long before my middle son had one on the line. Over the next couple of hours we caught a total of 9 Yellowtail Snapper and then when the bite slowed, he took us to another spot nearby and took about a half hour to fish deeper for the larger Mutton Snapper. We caught 2 of those, with the first being too small and the second just over the 18” requirement. We had a great time and would highly recommend Captain Nathan whose patience, experience, and easygoing approach was perfect for our group. He filleted our catch and we took it to Lazy Days where we had a delicious dinner with the family.

This trip was the best I’ve had yet! Nathan got us on fish all day. We caught six giant yellow fin snapper and had them cleaned up for dinner. We also caught other varieties of fish as well. Nathan answered all of our fishing questions and was the best and most patient instructor. We learned a lot. We visited two different spots out in the deep sea. The second spot we caught the largest nurse shark I’ve ever seen! Talk about exhilarating! WOW! We also did some fishing in the channel. I can’t say enough about the fantastic time we had! Thank you again Captain!

I don’t even know where to begin. This was one of the best chartered trips I’ve ever done. It really set the bar for future trips I know that. I have been out in Maine, Cape Cod, Connecticut, the outer banks,  New York, and even my home away from home Captiva Island. Captain Nathan showed us one of the best days I’ve had fishing ever. Start to finish this was fantastic. Took his advice and brought some of our catch right to lazy days and had our fish prepared 5 different ways. Best day ever!! If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would!

We booked this charter on the one day we were in town during spring break, with our 8 and 10 year old kids. It was a windy day so we were limited on where we could go. Captain Nathan communicated continuously with us, adjusted as needed for the weather and ensured our kids had a memorable experience. We have lots of amazing fish stories from this trip! Booked a trip with Captain Nathan while on vacation with my family. Took my nephews, and son out for an inshore trip.

Captain Nathan was very professional, and knowledgeable. We caught a bunch of inshore species. Conditions were tough due to the wind, but the captain still put us on the fish. Went home with more than enough food for the dinner table.

The boat and gear were all top notch. The captain kept his boat meticulous, and all fishing gear new and well maintained.

I would definitely recommend Capt. Nathan to anyone looking to have a great day on the water. Next time we are back in Islamorada, we will certainly be booking another charter with Capt. Nathan.
