He has been fishing his entire life, from freshwater rivers and lakes in Tennessee, to the crystal clear waters of the Florida Keys. After reconnecting with an old friend from back home, Captain Galon decided to embark on an adventure and move to the beautiful Florida Keys! Captain Galon moved to Islamorada and starting working as a mate on the Capt. Michael Party Fishing Boat out of Robbie's Marina. After learning from some of the best Captains and Mates in the Keys about the different locations, Captain Galon decided to get his Captains License and head offshore! After spending many years working as a Mate and a Captain, he has gained the knowledge and experience to show you why Islamorada is known as the 'Sportfishing Capital of the World'! Fast forward to today, Capt. Galon is still enjoying his passion for showing anglers of all ages how to fish the Florida Keys. Whether you want to catch yellowtails on the Reef or head Offshore for that trophy fish to put on the wall, Captain Galon will put you on the fish! Capt. Galon Johnson is also the proud designer and creator of Islamorada Flyers Lures!
