I got finished with my morning group and had some bait left over with nothing planned for the evening. I grabbed lunch at one of our favorite places near by, then took off in search of new fish. I found plenty of speckled trout and redfish deep in the ponds. I was throwing tightline soft plastics to start then started mixing it up, to shrimp under a cork. They we're hungry to say the least. These trout we're fat, bellies were full of shrimp and glass minnows. I kept a few for the house and returned juts before dark.

With all intentions to get back on the speckled trout, we had to switch gears to redfish due to us being greeted with high winds as we pulled away from the dock! High west winds have showed face, and we just rolled with the punches. We were geared with popping corks and Campos live shrimp. We hit the ponds but the water was to low due to the high west winds and falling tide. We found a pattern and syarted pecking away filling the box with beautiful Louisiana redfish.

Shell Beach, Louisiana has been on fire this summer! The fall is going to be absolutely incredible and im ready for it. But as of now, i had this group from Brandon Ms, doen to fish with us for thier first time and it wont be their last time. Speckled trout are plentiful and dont forget it is red snapper season also. We have the ability to fish for speckled trout and red snapper not far form each other. Dont miss out, call soon!!

Welcome to Shell Beach Louisiana, there is bait in almost every bay, oyster reef, sand flat, and grass flat. But knowing which ones holds these beautiful, tasty fish is is a whole nother game.. We've been on the fish and these ladies made me look good today. They listened to everything i said and they loaded the boat down for a beautiful dock shot. We did use live shrimp the majority of the day. But thats what they wanted..

Mike showed up at our lodging the night before to get a good nights rest before walking across the street to load the boat for an action packed day catching speckled trout and a bunch of bullreds that were released to fight another day. We left the dock early and watched a beautiful sunrise on the way out, we arrived at our first spot, putting a few in the boat until the bullreds and dolphins showed up and busted the spot up. We hit our second spot and it was on. Bait busting all over and fish rite on them. We dropped the live bait and started throwing article soft plastics and top water baits. Watching speckled trout blow those top water baits up was phenomenal.

It's red snapper season and we're taking all the advantages we can to get out there!! Customers are pouring in and loading the boat with multiple species to fill the box and a few extra bonus fish.
