Southern Hooker was perfect. It’s a family run business that is very personal, friendly, and professional. I had my 13 and 8 year old sons aboard and they had an experience they will remember a life time. The crew was great with the fishing instruction but also took the time to teach a magic trick that I am sure will win some points back on the playground. The fishing was steady and Captain Nick carefully navigated some small storm cells to keep everyone safe yet boat some fish as well. I have fished many places with many crews and these guys are the real deal for a great family fishing experience. That being said I am going to bring back my 17 year old son and do some serious sport fishing with Southrrn Hooker as soon as I can.  Their boat was very comfortable and adequate for more choppy seas. A 41 foot Boat helps calm the swells a great deal as opposed to the other Captains running 32s or less. So if you are concerned in any way about possible sea sickness and want catch some great fish, look no further and book these guys… if they have an opening.
