First charter for wife and myself. I hooked and fought a tarpon that Capt. Jeff guesssed to be around 135lbs. Lost fish right at boat when it made a huge head shaking jump. Wife and myself had a great time. I would highly recommend Anchors Away charter. Wife and myself will use them again when we return next year.

We booked a sunset cruise with Capt Jeff (see previous review) and were pleases with our experience that we booked a fishing charter. My sons and I had a blast! Capt Jeff took use about 9 miles off shore and within minutes of putting our lines in the water were getting hits. We caught about 65-70 fish (keeping only 13 lane snappers as most were under the limit.) My sons and I had fun just bringing in the fish more than keeping the catch. Both my sons caught a red grouper, but couldnt keep because they were under the size limit. Capt Jeff did another excellent job. He had more than enough equipment for the trip and had a nice varying quantity of bait. He did very good at changing the bait if it wasnt getting hits. As for our catch of lane snapper, Capt Jeff told us this fish was delicious and the best ways to cook and season. We cooked the fish when we got home (Cleveland Ohio) for ourselves and our family for a Fourth celebration and everyone loved it!! We can’t wait until our next vacation when we can do it again.(hopefully getting to keep the grouper this time :) ). Capt Jeff and Anchors Away Charter are worth it!!
