Was slow. Walleye just weren’t there for anyone. The desperate radio calls from everyone reflected that. Nobody was on fish.
However Captain D spared no effort or gas trying to find fish. We ran everywhere trying to find a school. Many captains wouldn’t have made that effort.
We did however end up with an 8 lb. walleye and couple smaller ones. A number of really nice channel cats. We had a wonderful day and still had excellent meat to take home.
I’ll use this captain again most definitely.

With the weather being challenging plus a cold front, Captain Dean put every effort you could have made to find fish. By the end of the day we had all caught nice walleye and had a heavy mess of fish in the box. All you can ask for is the time and effort to overcome the issues that comes with fishing Lake Erie, and on the Billy D you will get that effort. My family will be back on the Billy D again.
