Big Bull Mahi season is here!! Awesome sunny days following sea weed lines, birds and currents to find these beautiful strong fighting fish. Both cruise and hotel clients have been enjoying the fishing and the post-hurricane weather. In addtion to mahi-mahi, we have also caught wahoo and sailfish.

Season is starting nicely!!

After having so many days of bad weather (strong winds and high waves), the season is staring nicely! Mahi Mahi are regulars on every trip and Billfish are becoming a common sight too. Tournaments are starting this weekend and will have them every weekend from now and for more than a month. Sailfish make great pictures. This is the time of the year that we like to invite everyone to come down and fish the area.

Great day today on both boats ("Grand Slam" and "Why Not?"). The day was a bit cooler, we are finally over the heat wave and fish are responding immediately. It was mostly cloudy, with a light wind from the east-southeast, we were able to find seaweed lines and birds were active (again). Got some good-sized Dorados on the boat along with blackfin tuna. These fillets are going to Texas!! They will make great dinners for some time.

Mahi Mahi catches picking up!!

The heat wave has finally passed and Mahi Mahi are responding to it. Both boats ("Grand Slam" and "Why Not?") have been very busy today with them getting over 15 fish on the lines. Not only quantity but size has improved. Massive rain last night, and a bit of wind too.... cloudy today, all of these helping cool down the water...Dorado is responding immediately! Fished the Yucatán Channel on a 4-hour trip....wish we could have had more time to see if we could get some billfish too. Awesome day!

It was a tough month.....Heatwave hit us hard! Not easy finding fish but still we managed to come back with a catch on every trip. Hard work, persistence, and patience are key, both on our side and on our clients´. Mostly Dorados (Mahi Mahi) but we also caught wahoo, tuna, and a few Billfish while deep sea trolling and mainly snapper on reef/bottom fishing trips. We really thank all of you who came out fishing with us, 46 trips during the month on both boats ("Grand Slam" and "Why Not") We´ll keep giving our best for you to have fun. We are also hoping to add a 3rd boat soon, we´ll keep you posted.

we had a great time . The capt and crew were great we caught 1 small dorado and a red snapper with a whole bunch of trigger fish . my children and i had a great time ! only thing i wish they had enough rods for the bottom fishing we did try hand lining it was cool but would have preferred a fishing rod . the staff was very nice and were happy to answer any questions we had and had no problem switching from trolling to bottom fishing .all iall we had a great time and would book again with aquadventures... More

Not a good day catching fish, we are sorry it wasn’t the experience that it was expected.
