The Captain- Latheef, was courteous, and helpful, The crew were also the same. The boat and gear was prepared and comfortable, especially as we had a couple of older customers and they were able to enjoy the action in comfort in the shade. We all caught fish. Toward the end of the charter Latheef took the boat to a quieter area and his crew got out the BBQ to cook our fish for us!! It was GREAT! All of our customers on the Alpha Royale had a great time! And at the end of the day got to eat the fish we caught as well. We would definitely use the Alpha Royale again.

Organizing a customized trip for 4 Couples from Singapore via the Web, it was important that on arrival things turn out to be what we expected. We were happy to find the Alpha Royale well equipped for fishing with an experienced and helpful crew. The Guest House was comfortable and clean and the hospitality was excellent.  We opted for local Maldivian food and found each meal a special treat.

For seasoned travelers who prefer not to be “held captive” in a pricey Maldive 5 Star Resort, we strongly recommend this alternative. Great value for Money!  Use the money you save to pay for transfer by Seaplane… Pricey but best option!

If you’re looking for a true Maldivian off-the-beaten-track experience, try out the Alpha Royale alternative. It is excellent value.

Our group of 4 couples had a large comfortable 6 bedroom guest house all to ourselves, complete with cook and housekeeper. We chose local Maldivian food ( Western food also possible) for our meals which were excellent. We had clean air-conditioned rooms with ensuite bathrooms, and the guest house was nestled in the heart of a local Maldivian village. There were no 5-star resorts on the island, no upmarket spa or fancy pricey restaurants to burn a hole in our pockets.We had a taste of the pure village life. A very special experience.

Great value for money. The Alpha Royale crew was experienced, helpful and hard working. They customized our daily excursions to suit our desires, be it fishing, snorkeling or just cruising to nearby islands.

The only negative was the super-long 8-hour boat ride from Male Airport to the village. Next time, I’ll spend the money and take the sea plane. 30 mins.

We enjoyed our trip in the beautiful Maldives.  We didn’t catch the fish we were hoping but we did catch some smaller fish that still made it fun.  Thanks to the crew for being great!
