My two son and I went out for a full day with Capt. Joe, on Lake Multrie, and it was, in my opinion, my best trip to Santee Cooper.  Capt. Joe is experienced and knowledgeable of the area.  Capt. Joe put us on the fish.  I would highly recommend booking a trip with him if you get the opportunity.

We made it, and Thank You So Much for calling ahead to help us have them clean the fish. All worked out great, they treated us well and returned the favor!

This was our first time salt water fishing.  Only booked 1/2 day not knowing if we would like it.  Wish we would have booked all day.  Captain Joe made the trip a wonderful experience.  He got us on the fish and even let us stay over our time since the fish were biting so well.  The boys are already asking when we could go again and only want to go with Captain Joe.  I would recommend him to anyone wanting to go book a fishing trip.

We squeezed a half day trip in between some storms and had a great day on the water. We caught at least a dozen redfish as well as a stingray.  I know some have complained about catching their own bait but my kids enjoyed seeing Joe use the net to catch our bait for the day. It did not feel like a waste of time. We were disappointed that we didn’t get to target shark, but the wind and weather just didn’t permit it. Joe was great with the kids and he has some good fishing spots. We kept 3 of our fish and had them for lunch. My only complaint would be that he did not clean the fish we kept. Other charters we have done always cleaned the fish. But at least he told us where to get it done. It did cast another $15 for 3 fish though. Joe also recommended a restaurant to cook our fish and they did a great job. My friend is a local and he said the restaurant is very good too. Thanks for a nice day on the water. See you next time

We had the most fun on our fishing trip and that was all due to Captain Joe. We started early in the morning, and within 15 minutes of being in the boat he had us on top of fish. He was an amazing teacher for the first time fishers in our group and was so knowledgeable about the areas we were at and the types of fish we were chasing.

Aside from being a great host/captain, he’s just a really good guy that is easy to talk to about things not even related to fishing.

10/10. I would absolutely recommend Captain Joe and the next time we’re back in Charleston we will for sure being paying him a visit.
