This man was willing to teach and help as much as he could and when no one else on the river was catching anything he made sure we at least got a fish, we knew it was spring season and we might not get anything but he was passionate enough to make it happen for us and made my trip up to Oregon something very special. We booked a day trip on the spur of the moment. Our guide really knewnthe waters, the fish and how to catch them. He was a patient thorough teacher and we each caught a salmon in the ocean, and Jim caught one of each: Coho & Chinook! Filled the crab pot too and helped us get them cooked at the marina facility. Cleaned and made fillets for us with the salmon and we would recommend him highly if you want a terrific experience fishing in Oregon.

You won’t find a nicer, harder working charter captain than Capt. Johnson. This was my second charter in 2 years with Jamison. Last August, we fished the Nehalem River and hooked a 36” Chinook. This June, we fished and crabbed in Tillamook Bay out of Garibaldi. We limited on dungeness crab and landed 2 beautiful chinook. We were one of two charters to land a fish that day- there was a large “atmospheric river” storm system off the coast and while we marked plenty of fish throughout the charter, they were only rarely biting. That’s just the nature of sport fishing. Nonetheless, Captain worked diligently and leveraged his experience to put two beautiful spring Chinook in the boat. Took my brother in law for his first fishing experience band my father in law who is a more seasoned angler my. All of us had a wonderful time and left with full coolers. Couldn’t have been happier with this Captain. Excellent, clear communication and friendly service. Book with confidence!

My boyfriend and I had a great day fishing with Jamison. He knows the people and waters well due to years of experience.  He threw crab pots while we fished, and we caught our limit of crab quickly. The fishing was slow, so Jamison tried different tactics and locations, which is exactly what a guide should do. It was a great day on the water, I highly recommend going fishing with Jamison.
