Salmon is the prized catch here, and it's hardly a surprise, seeing how hard-fighting and tasty they are. Chinook and Coho are popular in Tillamook Bay and in the ocean waters around it. If you come in August, Capt. Jamison will take you to our local waters to experience catching the legendary Chinook salmon.
But there's more than Salmon to Tillamook fishing. Halibut are abundant here, along with Steelhead and Black Seabass. Crabbing is another popular pastime and you can try it out year-round – it's a lot of fun, not to mention that you'll be savoring your delicious catch right after your trip.
You'll be fishing out of a 20' Willie's aluminum fisher with twin 150 HP Yamaha engines and more than enough room to accommodate up to 4 anglers. Thanks to the reliable marine electronics, you'll closely follow your prey and then use Okuma fishing gear to reel it in.
Your guide will provide both live bait and lures, depending on what species you'd like to target and what works best. When you come back to shore, Capt. Jamison will clean and fillet the catch for your convenience so that you can enjoy it as soon as possible.
Feel free to come fishing with your kids and let them learn fishing basics and have fun with you. The only thing you should think about before the trip is stocking up drinks and food, and bringing your fishing license.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing experience in the Tillamook area, look no further than Captain Jamison. From the moment we set out on the water, it was clear that Jamison is an absolute expert when it comes to the local waters. His knowledge of the Tillamook region is unparalleled – he knows every current, every spot, and every trick to make your fishing trip a success. We started off crabbing, and Jamison had us on the crabs within no time. His setup was top-notch, and within a couple of hours, we had our limits. It was such a thrill to reel in those crabs, but what really impressed me was Jamison’s patience and teaching style. He’s not just there to get you a catch – he genuinely enjoys sharing his knowledge and making sure you learn the craft. Whether it was adjusting our technique or explaining how to read the water, he took the time to guide us every step of the way. Later in the day, we moved on to trying for river salmon. Despite tough conditions, Jamison didn’t give up. He kept trying different tactics and locations, always determined to get us on some fish. His persistence and drive were evident as he went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible chance to hook a salmon. Even though we didn’t land one that day, his effort and dedication didn’t go unnoticed. Jamison is not only a skilled fisherman but also a great guide and companion on the water. A great way to spend a day on the water
We caught four huge fish and got 24 crab
This man was willing to teach and help as much as he could and when no one else on the river was catching anything he made sure we at least got a fish, we knew it was spring season and we might not get anything but he was passionate enough to make it happen for us and made my trip up to Oregon something very special. Thank you man
