This is more of a message to those looking at this and thinking about fishing with me. I replied straight to Scott after seeing this rating he gave me and was shocked.! I thought maybe he made a mistake or was drunk. But after a dialog with him via text, I realized I had him all wrong . He expressed the night before when I asked him what he wanted to target , that he wanted Ahi (a yellowfin tuna over 100#) , then told me it was going to be his daughter’s 9th birthday. I told him the Ahi bite was slow, really slow and that maybe we should go after something more probable of catching . You know , something for his daughter to have fun with! But no, he insisted on Ahi fir his 1/2 charter. Ok, he’s local I thought and knows the deal with Ahi fishing . Selfish I thought but whatever, he’s the customer . I’ll go with it. So we set off to catch the elusive Ahi. Got to the area where a couple bites( out of ten boats in a 4 day period )  were a few days prior. Had signs of life, it could have happened but it didn’t in the amount of time I had. So I went into the shallow water to drop to the bottom in hopes of catching this Birthday girl a fish . She was great and interested in what we were doing. But , they just wouldn’t bite at this time of the day. The current was ripping and was really hard . I tried more , going shallower with cut bait hoping for anything. Nothing . But, was getting nibbles tearing the bait off . This is all on time when the half day should have been over. I was getting ready to msks a move to try even more when client said , that’s alright . As in , we tried, we understand of a way . So we went back . On the way I had his daughter and her friend go upstairs to the upper helm captains chair to have that experience which she enjoyed! The moral of this rant. If enjoying a day on the water , on a clean,  well equipped boat , with a captain that has a passion for fishing and tries isn’t enough for you and it’s , “only about catching”. Then please , don’t book me. Thank you hope to see you out here! 🤙
