Normally I wouldn’t comment on a review, but I think there needs to be more context to this story. For starters I think you forgot to mention that all three of your kids caught multiple fish and spicies! They seemed to be having a great time. And that the last trip you did in St. Augustine that you caught nothing at all! And we caught 20+fish!
As far as your review goes, You booked on a day that was pouring rain all morning, and then 15-20mph winds that afternoon. We had a 1230 departure that I told you before the trip that we would not be able to get out in the ocean due to rough seas, and that we would have an option for inshore fishing - but with those winds there would only be a few spots that would be fishable and out of the wind. I gave you to option to reschedule or cancel but you insisted on going. I brought you to my fist spot where your large party of 6 who all wanted to fish with little to no experience could each get a line in. That is not an easy task in a smaller boat. It was a spot that was not only out of the wind, but produced fish the entire time! We ended up bringing back 4 red drum, 3 back drum, and realsed over a dozen reds, one that was 30” and another at 33”. So as far as fishing trip goes I don’t see how it could be better given the circumstances. I understand you might not be in love with the “scenery”. But on a day that was not easy to fish, only so many spots are available that are out of the wind and allow us to get that many lines in, especially with 6 people who never fish. And another note, there were two other charter boats fishing the same area so obviously it’s a popular spot to many charters. Mainly because it can produce fish even on bad weather days… not an easy thing to do. But thanks for the 3 star review even though you “CAUGHT FISH” and even brought some home for dinner. Any trip where we catch 20+ fish with a group who had never fished this area is a success in my book!

I hope the is does not detour other people who are interested in catching fish on fishing charter and not concerned about there “scenery” on a cold, wet, windy day! We will never make you go on bad conditions and will be happy to reschedule or refund your trip as we cannot control the weather, we leave that decision up to our clients. Hope this can clear things up on a bad review.
