Marcelino had a conflict.  He collected his meney and left.

Would never recommend. Started off with us having to have our hotel call a taxi for us to get to the marina.  We were supposed to be picked up at our hotel at 11:50 and we finally took a taxi at 12:20 to get there after we and our concierge could not contact anyone. We did get a small discount to cover the taxi because of this but was a big time inconvenience because we hadn’t planned on travel to or from because it was supposed to be included. Finally when we got there and took off at 12:40 the captain Michael never acted like he wanted to be on the trip. This was by far the worst captain experience we have ever had anywhere. We were not catching fish which happens sometimes but the captain spent almost the entire fishing time laying down in the cabin and the very little time he was up when we were fishing which was about 15 minutes he was on his phone the whole time and never helped with fishing.  Fishing was slow and the deck hand wanted to move but the captain didn’t want to get up from the cabin. It was supposed to be a 3 hour trip and we left the dock at 12:40 and docked back at 3:20. A terrible experience for our last full day in Aruba.  Once again we have taken many charters in different places and never had this treatment from a captain before.

Unfortunately, we only caught 1 yellow fin tuna. As guests we were not allowed to set the hook and 4 fish were lost. I understand there are no guarantees when fishing and I don’t hold that against them. The biggest issue was the captain and the fact that we paid for a 4 hour trip 7-11 and at 10:15 the mate started reeling the poles in. We assumed we were much further out than we originally thought but when we docked a few minutes before 10:30 I was not happy. My boyfriend asked the mate about it and he said something to the captain in their language but nothing was said to us. So once again my boyfriend said we paid for a 4 hour trip and we came in a solid half hr early. Once this was said the captain said $20 off I was shocked that this was his response and said that’s it?! The captain then said $50… No $100 happy now? Which I replied yes. The captain then said he misjudged the time. Ok that’s fine but if we didn’t say anything he wasn’t going to either and was going to take our money. However when it was time to pay he only took off $50. After going back and forth for a couple of minutes I said just forget it and my boyfriend only received $50 off not the $100 originally said. He then said he came in early because we left early which was not true. I know this for a fact because the lot we parked our car was from 2am-  7am and we waited in the car until 7 to be safe. The captain said he would filet our catch, when doing so he fileted a quarter of the fish and handed us a bag and only when we didn’t walk away he said oh you want more? I was in total disbelief! He screwed us out of time and money but now the fish we caught too!? I watched him give some to his friends that were hovering over us while waiting to have our catch fileted. I would NOT recommend them to anyone!!!!!

Captain worked hard to find fish.  We caught two nice tuna 15 minutes into the trip but it was just a boat ride from that point on.  Just one of those days.  Captain very knowledgeable, knows his trade.  Would Recommend.

First mate was not personable at all and boat gave off lots of fumes.
