Hi September, is not snapper season if so we only do 8-hour trips for snapper this is what you have booked
You’ll go out in the morning and try to reel in a variety of species, including King George Whiting, Flathead, Leatherjacket, Salmon, Tailor. All rods and reels will be provided on board, as well as lunch, coffee, and tea.

After this explanation you have the opportunity of withdrawing your booking which you obviously didn’t do as it was a bucks turn fishing trip and it was the only day you could go so you proceeded with the trip, The skipper on the day reported you asked if we were going for snapper he said you are on the wrong trip and asked have you read the website of do any research and your answer was no so it’s very unreasonable to expect a different trip that you have booked and paid for, the skipper explained what he was going to do for the trip and asked if you were all happy and have any questions and the was all good.
In regards to the last 45 mins further out you have that completely wrong he spent 45 mins at local whiting spot to see if there was any whiting to be had and cook a BBQ for you at the same time there was no whiting around, so he decided to take you out further to catch a feed of flathead which you did for a couple of hours and caught a few , You had 16 people for $1600 which i equates to $100 per head for for a 4 hour fishing trip with everything supplied including a BBQ very reasonable
